Officer-On-Special Duty, HWP-Tuticorin, invites, on behalf of the President of India, sealed item rate tenders from the eligible bidders, having similar work experience in central / state Govt./ PSU or in private organizations, for the work of "Up gradation of Automatic Fire Alarm System (addressable) at Heavy Water Plant (Tuticorin)."

Estimated cost: Rs.6.55 Lakhs        Completion time: 90 days        EMD: Rs. 13,100/-

Eligibility criteria for issue of tender document are (a) "the experience of having successfully completed within comparable completion time and cost of similar works and having at least 3 years experience in supply, installation, commissioning and testing of such systems in industries or organizations (b) Registration for CST / VAT (TIN No) (c) Service Tax Registration code (STC No). and (d) Valid Income Tax clearance certificate quoting PAN number.

Similar works for this tender shall mean "Up gradation of addressable automatic Fire Alarm System, which involves supply, installation and commissioning of such systems including panels, smoke & heat detectors in industrial establishments or in bigger organisations".

Application in sealed envelope superscribing the Tender Notice Number & Name of the work may be addressed to Sr. Accounts Officer, Heavy Water Plant, HWP Colony, PO. Dist.Tuticorin, Tamilnadu - 628 007, for issue of Tender documents, accompanied by documentary proof in support of eligibility criteria duly certified in the body of application and copy of newspaper cutting containing the NIT. Tender documents shall be issued to the eligible contractors, after due scrutiny, at a cost of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundreds only) + Rs. 100/- for postage charge, per set (non-refundable) on any working day between 10.30 hrs. to 11.30 hrs. & 14.00 hrs. to 15.30 hrs. from 13.09.2010 to 06.10.2010. Incomplete applications or applications without requisite enclosures are liable to be rejected.

Completed tenders along with the EMD, in the form of DD, drawn in favour of Sr. Accounts Officer, Heavy Water Plant, Tuticorin, payable at State Bank of India, SPIC Nagar Branch (Code No. 3143), shall be received upto 14.00 hrs. of 07.10.2010 and shall be opened on the same day at 15.00 hrs. in presence of such intending tenderers who wish to be present. Tenders received without EMD will be summarily rejected. In case of closure of office, due to any reason, on the last date of receipt of application for issue of Tender document or due date of tender submission/opening, the dates stipulated in the notice would stand postponed to respective next working day. Officer-On-Special Duty, Heavy Water Plant, Tuticorin, reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Applicaion(s) for issue of tender and/or completed tenders submitted, without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
