NOTICE INVITING TENDER NO : HWPT/MECH/612

1. Sealed tenders are invited by the Officer on Special Duty on behalf of the President of India from approved eligible and experienced contractors for the following works at Heavy Water Plant,HWP Colony P.O.,Tuticorin - 628 007.
   
2.
Name of the work : Supply,erection and commissioning of mechanical packages   for a dynamic Solvent extraction test set up for Hemi-Hydrate   Acid at HWP(T).
   
3.
Estimated Cost (Rs.) : Rs.25.05 Lakhs
   
4.
Earned Money Deposit (Rs.) : Rs.50,100/-
   
5.
Cost of tender (non-refundable) : Rs.1,000/-
   
6.
Period of completion : 60 days
   
7.
Period of validity of tender : 90 days from the date of opening of Tender.
   
8.
Date of sale of tender document : 22.05.2009 to 08.06.2009
   
9.
Last date of receipt of tender : 11.06.2009 at 14.30 hrs.
   
10.
Date of opening of tender : 11.06.2009 at 15.00 hrs.
   
11. Earnest Money Deposit (EMD):

EMD for the amount indicated should be submitted in a separate envelope and should be in the form of either crossed Demand Draft from Nationalized or Scheduled Banks drawn in favour of "Senior Accounts Officer,HWP" or Fixed Deposit Receipts from Nationalized or Scheduled Banks or Deposit at Call Receipt or Receipted Challan of RBI. If the Earned Money is found to be in order,then only the tender will be opened. In case, the earnest Money is not deposited or is not in order the tender will be summarily rejected.
   
12. Tender documents for the above work can be had from Senior Accounts Officer,Heavy Water Plant,HWP Colony P.P.,Tuticorin - 628 007 from 10.00 hrs. to 14.30 hrs.on any working days on payment of Rs.1000/- & additional Rs.300/- towards postage charge for sending by post in favour of SAO,HWP,Tuticorin.
   
13. In case the last date of sale / of receipt of tender/ of opening the tender is declared as holidays,the respective dates shall be treated as postponed to the next working day accordingly.
   
14. Tenders should be placed in sealed cover with the name of the work and tender No.and Date written on the top of the envelope and deposied in the tender box kept in Administrative building.
   
15. Eligibility:

Tender documents shall be issued only on submission of following documents and fulfilling the qualifications mentioned below:
   
 
15.1 Proof of registration with Govt./Semi Govt.organization like Railways,PWD,MES,etc.in appropriate class and having experience in carrying out similar jobs.
15.2 Latest Solvency Certificate for Rs.10.02 Lakhs from any scheduled Bank.
15.3 List of machinery and infrastructure facilities available to complete the work in time.
15.4 List of technical staff.
15.5 List of similar works in hand and works carried out by them for the last seven (7) years,indicating Annual Turnover,the agency for whom executed. Value of work,completion time-Stipulated and Actual.
15.6 Performance Certificates.
15.7 Profit and Loss statement or latest Income Tax return filed IT department.
15.8 Qualification:
   
 
Average annual turn over for last 3 years ending 31st March of the previousFinancial Year. Experience of having successfully completed works
for last 5 years
7.52 Lakhs 3 similar works
of
10.02 Lakhs
Or 2 similar works
of
15.03 Lakhs
Or 1 similar work
of
20.04 Lakhs
   
16. "Similar works" shall means Supply,erection of HDPE Vessels, HDPE pipe fittings and Polypropylene valves.
   
17. Performance guarantee equal to 5% of the contract value is required to be submitted within 15 days from the date of issue of LOI.
   
18. Security Deposit equal to 5% of the contractor value will be deducted from the bills of the contractor @ 10% of bill amount.
   
19. The duly filled in tender and EMD should be submitted in two separate sealed covers and sealed inside a single envelope,which should be duly superscribed with Tender Notice No.HWPT/MECH/612.
   
20. Late offers will not be accepted.
   
21. Tenders can be obtained by post by paying through crossed Demand Draft (cost of tender document - Rs.1000/- + Rs.300/- for postage charge for sending by post) to cover postage and other charges. Tenders can be submitted by post but bidders are advised to take in to account the time required for postal transit.
   
22. The Bidders are requested to visit the Plant and get familiarized with local condition before submission of tenders.
   
23. Right to issue and to accept or reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason thereof is reserved by the undersigned.
