Sealed tenders are hereby invited by the General Manager on behalf of the President of India for the work of "In situ
Metallographic testing (Replica work) & hardness mesaurement at selected man hole covers of towers,tanks & selected pipe
lines during ATA - 2009 at Heavy Water Plant (Kota)" from Contractors of repute and having sufficient experience for similar
type of works.The work is estimated to cost Rs.64,800/- (Rupees Sixty four thousand eight hundred only). |

The Heavy Water Plant Kota is situated at a place called Rawatbhata (in Rajasthan state) which is nearly 60 kms away from
Kota Railway Station. |
| |
|
| 3. |
Materials to be checked are carbon steel and stainless steel exposed to H2S service. |
| |
|
| 4. |
To & fro fare,lodging & boarding charges for the stay of your man power at Rawatbhata shall be included in your
quotation. |
| |
|
| 5. |
The work is to be completed in maximum three visits from the date of commencement of the work or from the ten day after
the date on which the order to commence the work is issued to Contractor,whichever is earlier. |

|
| 6. |
The bidders must have experience of executing In situ Metallographic testing (Replica work) in industries and shall
engage sufficient manpower having relevant qualification and experience so as to cause no delay in job execution at HWPK
site. |

| 7. |
Tender documents consisting of specifications,schedule of quantities and conditions of contract etc.,to be complied with
by the firm whose tender may be accepted,can be obtained on payment of Rs.150/- (Rupees One Hundred & fifty only) per set in
cash (non-refundable) (or Rs.200/- including postal charges) in cash or through Demand Draft in favour of |

payable at State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur,Rawatbhata branch from 01/09/2009 to 23/09/2009 between 1100 hrs and 1600 hrs on
any working day on production of proof of experience of similar work during the last three years,the aggregate value of which
shall not be less than Rs.64,800/- (the tendered amount) and at least one such work should be of value of not less than
Rs.21,600/- and Income Tax Clearance Certificate.Tender document can be obtained either in person or post.Department shall
not be responsible for any postal delay or loss and no claim in this regard shall be entertained.The request for tender
document shall be clearly mentioned on top of the envelope. |

Tenders which should always be placed in sealed envelopes with the name of work (as given in para above) written on the
envelopes will be received upto 02.30 PM on 25/09/2009 and will be opened at 3.30 PM on 25/09/2009 by the General Manager or
his authorised representative at Heavy Water Plant (Kota),PO: Anushakti,Via: Kota in presence of such tenderer or their
representatives as may be present. |

| 9. |
The tender and the earnest money shall be placed in separate sealed envelopes each marked "Tender" and "Earnest Money"
respectively. Both the envelopes shall be submitted together in another sealed envelope. |

| 10. |
The contractors should quote in figures as well as in words the rates and/or amount tendered by them. The amount for each
item shall be worked out and the requisite totals furnished on each page and carried over where necessary to arrive at the
total cost of work for each part of the work envisaged in this tender. All corrections shall be attested by the initials &
dated by the tenderer. |

If the amount of an item is not worked out by the contractor and/or it does not correspond with the rate written either
in figures or in words,then the rate quoted by the contractor shall be taken as correct and not the amount. |

| 12. |
If it is found that the tender is not submitted in the proper manner,or contains too many corrections or absurd rates or
amount,it will be opened for the Goevrnment to ignore the tender. |

|
| 13. |
The tender shall be accompanied by deposit at call receipt of State Bank of India or any Scheduled Bank or draft payable
on demand at State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur,Rawatbhata branch for the earnest money amounting to Rs.1,296/- (Rupees One
thousand two hundred Ninety six only) credited in the name of Deputy Controller of Accounts,Heavy Water Plant (Kota).The
tender not accompanied by the Earnest Money will be summarily rejected. |

| 14. |
Security deposit (including earnest money) is 10% of the tendered value of the work: A sum @ 10% of the contractor till
the sum along with the sum already deposited as earnest money,will amount to security deposit of 5% of tendered value of the
work.In addition,the contractor shall be required to deposit an amount equal to 5% of the tendered value of the contact as
performance security after the letter of Intent issued to him within the period prescribed for commencement of work. |

| 15. |
General Manager,Heavy Water Plant (Kota),Rajasthan does not bind himself to accept the lowest or any tender and reserves
to himself the right of accepting the whole or any part of the tender and the tenderer shall be bound to perform the same at
the rates quoted. |

|
| 16. |
Canvassing in any form in connection with the tender is strictly prohibited & rejected forthwith. |
| |
|
| 17. |
The quoted rates should be inclusive of all the taxes and levies payable by the Contractor to the Authorities concerned
on this contract and Govt.will not entertain any claim whatsoever in this respect. |

|
| 18. |
Income tax,Surcharge/education cess on IT,Sales Tax and Surcharges on Sales Tax as applicable shall be deducted from your
running bills and final bills. |
| |
|
| 19. |
Tenders for works shall remain open for acceptance for a period of 60 days from the date of opening of tender. |
| |
|
| 20. |
The tenderer shall read the specifications and study the specifications fully before submitting the tender.The tenderer
shall acquaint them selves with the work and conditions of the Site and locality and no claim will be entertained on this
issue. |

|
| 21. |
On acceptance of the tender,the name of the authorised representative(s) of the Contractor,who would be responsible for
taking instructions from the Engineer,should be communicated by the Contractor to the Engineer. |
| |
|
| 22. |
A copy of latest income tax clearance certificate as well as evidence showing the appropriate and eligible class on the
approved list of DAE/BARC,PWD,MES and Railways etc.is necessary along with the tender documents. |

|
| 23. |
The acceptance of the tender will rest with the General Manager of the Heavy Water Plant (Kota) who does not bind himself
to accept the lowest tender.The General Manager reserves to himself,the authority to reject any or all tenders
received,without assignment of any reason.All tenders in whom any of the prescribed conditions are not fulfilled or
incomplete in any respect or with any condition & conditional rebates shall be liable to be rejected. |
