Sealed item rate tenders in two Parts viz. Part A (Technical bid) and Part B (Financial & Commercial Bid) are invited on behalf of President of India by the Additional Chief Engineer (Civil), Heavy Water Board from approved and eligible contractors up to 1500 hrs on 22/06/2009 for the following work at HWP (Talcher) Housing colony at Vikram Nagar. The eligibility of prospective bidders for the purpose of issue of Tender document will be decided through valid registration in appropriate class with CPWD, State PWD, MES, Railways, DAE, BARC etc. and / or having experience of executing similar work and production of Certificates regarding successful completion of at least one similar work costing not less than Rs.108 lakh or two similar works costing not less than Rs.81 lakh or three similar works costing not less than Rs.54 lakh each, during the last five years. The bidders not having experience of executing similar work will not be issued tender documents. Similar work means design, supply, setting up of Sewage Treatment Plant of capacity not less than 300 m3/day and providing & laying sewage pipe lines etc. In addition, the following may also be produced at the time of purchase of Tender Document (i) Bank Solvency Certificate for Rs.54 lakh (ii) Latest Income Tax Clearance certificate or audited statement of account of last three years (iii) Average Annual turnover for last three consecutive years forRs.67 lakh.

Earnest Money Deposit	Rs.2,70,000 /- in the form of crossed Demand Draft or Deposit at Call Receipt or FDR of any Scheduled Bank, drawn in favour of P&AO, HWB along with Technical Bid (Part A) in separate sealed cover. Alternately Rs.1,35,000/- may be deposited in the above form and for balance Rs.1,35,000/- Bank Guarantee of a schedule bank may be submitted.
Cost of Tender Document	Rs.1500/- (non-refundable) in the form of crossed DD drawn in favour of P&AO, HWB payable in any scheduled bank situated in Mumbai.
Date of Sale of Tender Document	11/05/2009 to 09/06/2009 (during working hours) both from HWB, Mumbai and HWP (Talcher).
Pre-bid meeting	On 15/06/2009 at 1500 hrs. at HWB Office in Mumbai.

The request for issue of Tender Document along with proof of eligibility criteria and documents mentioned above should be addressed either to P&AO, HWB along with cost of tender document in case the tender document is to be purchased in Mumbai at the above address or P & A.O, HWP (Talcher), P.O. Vikrampur, Dist. Angul, Orissa in case the tender document is to be purchased from HWP (Talcher). Tenders can also be obtained by Post by paying through crossed Demand Draft of Rs.1800/- to cover postage and other charges. Bids also can be submitted by post but the prospective bidders are advised to take into account the time required for postal transit. The dates of various activities mentioned above will be strictly adhered to and the department will not accept any responsibility for delay in postal transit.

In case the last date of sale and/or the date of receipt and opening of tender is declared as Holiday, the respective dates shall be treated as postponed to the next working day, correspondingly.
