Earnest Money Deposit (EMD)
EMD for the amount indicated should be submitted in a separate envelope along with the tender and should be in the form of either crossed Demand Draft from Nationalised or Scheduled Banks drawn in favour of Sr. Accounts Officer, HWP(TUTICORIN) or Fixed Deposit Receipts from Nationalised or Scheduled Banks or Deposit at Call Receipt or Receipted Challan of RBI.
If the Earnest Money is found to be in order, then only the tender will be opened. In case, the earnest money is not deposited or is not in order the tender will be summarily rejected. |

Tender documents for the above work can be had from Sr. Accounts Officer, Heavy Water Plant, Tuticorin during 10:30 hrs. to 11:30 hrs & 14.00 hrs. to 15.30 hrs on any working days on payment of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) in favour of Sr. Accounts Officer, Heavy Water Plant, Tuticorin. |

| 13. |
In case the last date of sale / of receipt of tender / of opening the tender is declared as Holidays, the respective dates shall be treated as postponed to the next working day accordingly. |

| 14. |
Tenders should be placed in sealed cover with the name of the work and Tender No. and Date written on the top of envelope and deposited in the tender box kept at the Office of Officer-on-Special Duty, Heavy Water Plant, Tuticorin, where copy of NIT is pasted over to the box. |

Eligibility:

Proof of registration with Govt/Semi Govt. organization like Railways, PWD, CPWD, MES etc. in appropriate class and / having experience in carrying out similar jobs. |

List of machinery and infrastructure facilities available to complete the work in time. |

List of technical staff. |
| 15.5 |
List of similar works in hand and works carried out by the bidder for the last seven (07) years, indicating Annual Turnover, the agency for whom executed, Value of work, Completion time-Stipulated and Actual. |

| 16. |
“Similar works” shall means |
| |

| a. |
Construction of RCC framed structures including brick masonry in super structures and allied finishing works upto a height of minimum 10 Meters. |

| b. |
Fabrication and erection of structural steel works including fixing of AC sheets upto a height of minimum 10 metres. |
| |
|
| c. |
Construction of RCC foundations for equipments/machineries. |
|
| |
|
| 17. |
Performance guarantee equal to 5% of the contract value is required to be submitted within 15 days from the date of issue of Letter of Intent. |

| 18. |
Security deposit equal to 5% of the contract value will be deducted from the bills of the contractor @10% of bill amounts. |
| |
|
| 19. |
The EMD and BID are to be submitted in two separate covers, distinctly marked "EMD" & "BID" and sealed inside single envelope which should be duly superscribed with Tender Notice No. |

| 20. |
Late offers will not be accepted. |
| |
|
| 21. |
Tenders can be obtained by post by paying through crossed Demand Draft of Rs.800/- (Rs. 500/- + Rs. 300/-) to cover postage and other charges. Bids can be submitted by post but the bidders are advised to take into account the time required for postal transit. |

| 22. |
The Bidders are requested to visit the plant/colony and get familiarized with local condition before submission of tenders. |

Right to issue and to accept or reject any or all tenders without assigning any reasons there of is reserved by the undersigned. |
